This annual event, a highlight of the Irish gardening year,
gives an opportunity to view the beautiful and diverse gardens of West Cork.
While many of the gardens are open to visitors throughout the summer,
there are some open to the public only during the Garden Trail –
don’t miss your chance to see them!
Some of the fees taken during the West Cork Garden Trail go to charity.

West Cork Chamber Music Fest

The Festival lasts for nine days, there are five concerts, three masterclasses and a talk each day, there are instrument making workshops, the hundred or so invited musicians are without exception superb, the programming combines the challenging and the unknown with the familiar and the whole town is taken over for rehearsals.

Bantry House is the main concert venue along with the small single-aisle church dedicated to St Brendan, whose legendary Brendan Voyage began in this part of Ireland. All the venues have an intimacy that is vital for chamber music and Bantry House itself is renowned for the atmosphere created in the candle-lit Library and the House’s extraordinarily beautiful setting at the head of Bantry Bay.

Brass Band Championships

South of Ireland Band Championships.
 
A wonderful feast of music  at the thirty third Annual South of Ireland Band Championships for Brass and Concert Bands Saturday, 7th July 2012 at the Community College and Hall, Clonakilty.

Once again we look forward to an occasion which will be as successful and enjoyable as in the past. Each year the recitals on the streets are warmly received and with your kind co-operation we hope to follow the same format on the 7^th of July.
